Real Strategies help organisations generate funds. We might create funding applications, assist with proving the case for funding, recommend new sources of income or suggest how to reduce expenditure. In 2012 we have assisted four organisations in this way.

For example, Edmund Waller Community Services (EWCS), an incorporated charity, delivers out-of-school child care services. The Board of Trustees wished to develop new services that met their community aims, widened access and generated funds.  Real Strategies worked with staff, trustees, governors, partner agencies and parents to assist with:

• Developing a community strategy, project ideas and a fundraising plan
• Submitting funding bids that generated circa £50 k over the first year
• Building capacity so that fundraising can be sustained
